Hi, I’m Dhita Mutiara Nabella.
I research climate governance and sustainable development by day, build community platforms for climate literacy and Indonesian mothers abroad by choice, and write about all of it in between.
For People, Planet, and Purpose
I’m a 2nd year PhD student in Sustainable Resources at University College London (UCL), researching environmental governance and climate-resilient urban development, currently focused on Indonesia’s new capital, Ibu Kota Nusantara (IKN). Before this, I spent years as a sustainability consultant and policy advisor, working with governments and organisations on net-zero strategy and climate policy. Outside academia, I founded Cerita Iklim, a youth led climate community in Indonesia bringing climate literacy closer to young people through podcasts, journal reviews, and webinars, and Ibu Berdaya di UK (IBUK), a community connecting and supporting Indonesian mothers across the UK. This site brings together my research, writing, and the communities I’ve built: the academic, the professional, and the personal, all in one place.
